As a GIA Graduate Gemologist with over a decade of experience in the jewelry industry I created Clarity First Jewelry Consulting to offer something most buyers never get: expert jewelry advice that is completely unbiased.
After years in the industry, I saw firsthand how confusing and often opaque the buying process can be for customers. Too often, “advice” is shaped by commission, inventory, or sales pressure.
Today, I work exclusively for my clients.
No sales. No commissions. No agenda. Just clarity.
My background includes:
Nearly 10 years of professional jewelry appraising
3 years in jewelry sales, giving me insider knowledge of how jewelry is priced and sold
GIA Graduate Gemologist- with training in diamonds, colored gemstones, pearls, and gemstone identification
8+ years working with antique and estate jewelry
3 years in the Caribbean jewelry markets
Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA)
Attendance at multiple GIA symposiums
Extensive international travel to gemstone mining and sourcing regions
This breadth of experience allows me to evaluate jewelry for beauty, craftsmanship, and true value.

As an independent jewelry consultant, I work solely for my clients, educating, guiding, and helping them make confident decisions before they buy.
Whether you’re choosing an engagement ring or investing in fine jewelry, my role is to bring clarity to a complex industry and make the process informed, calm, and enjoyable.
